CABLES

The control cable or rod should be arranged

a right angle

the actuating shift lever with

the

lever in the neutral

position. The neutral position of the operating lever in

the

cockpit must coincide with the neutral position of

this

lever.

The shift level travel

must

be such that the lever just strikes

the

internal stops for

the

lever

when

shifted into forward or

reverse. Those

stops

can

determined by manually moving

the

shift lever with the cable disconnected. This

important adjustment

for

proper engagement of the

gear.
