Component Removal and Replacement

R010 – #3 Mirror

Table of Contents

1. Make sure the PLS is powered OFF and unplugged.

2. Open the top door and pull the X-Axis

Arm (1) forward.

3. Locate the Focus Carriage (1).

4. Remove the three thumbscrews

completely (2). Set them aside in a

safe place.

5. Grasp the Front Cover Plate (3).

Gently slide it forward and out of the

Focus Carriage to remove the optics.

6. Place the optics on a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

7. Remove the two Phillips head screws

(1) that attach the #3 Mirror to the

Front Cover Plate and remove the

optic.

8. Attach the new #3 Mirror to the Front

Cover Plate.

9. Clean the Focus Lens (2) if

necessary.

10. Reinstall the optics in the Focus Carriage.
